Binance and WazirX recently collaborated with the Blockchain for India program in order to boost the Indian Blockchain system. With the same motive, the Binance Chain proudly introduced the Build for Bharat which is a double-edged program. It will offer hackathon and acceleration opportunities developed to reduce the gap between the blockchain and mass adoption.
The initiative Built for Bharat provides opportunities for the creators, innovators, and builders from different parts of the country to come and show their innovative ideas or products developed with the help of digital assets and blockchain technology.
Talking about the sponsorship, the hackathon is financed by Google Cloud, Matic Network, Marlin Protocol, Band Protocol, Ankr cloud infrastructure, and the acceleration is financed by Polaris Accelerator Program.
The said program is launched with the aim to spread financial sovereignty and to bring blockchain in every corner of the world. This will also structure our first-ever DeFi-focused hackathon and acceleration program.
Who is eligible to apply?
The platform opens the gate for many including startups, individuals working on Mini-Tokens, Micro Financing Products, Blockchain Datasets, and others. It also allowed cryptopreneurs functioning on a proof-of-concept, constructing a minimal viable product (MVP) or blockchain-based innovative use case to operate.
The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao mentioned “India has been one of the most interesting countries Binance has tapped into. We’ve seen entrepreneurs create robust blockchain-based solutions from scratch and scale it. With the second-largest blockchain developer base in the world-India has already kickstarted the revolution of decentralization and we’re here to fuel it.”
Schedule of the Program:
The Build for Bharat program is a three-month program divided into three stages. From 24th August-11th September, the applications will be accepted and the top 100 teams will be selected, from 12th-30th September the trial session will be conducted where the top 20 teams will qualify and from 1st-31st October the last ‘conquer’ session will be conducted and top 5 teams will be rewarded.
Talking about the rewards, the selected candidates will get the opportunities to grab their parts from 30,00,000+ INR and the winning team will get a chance to accelerate through Polaris and an industry expert’s views and mentoring from the Binance itself.
