Bitcoin price crosses $18k, will it make new ATH in 2020?

Yes, you heard it right today early morning the price of Bitcoin crosses the $18,000 USD mark. At the press time, it was trading at $18,325.05 USD as per CoinMarketCap. The price is up by 10.48% from the last 24 hrs.

If we look at the dominance of BTC then it in 66.4% within the whole cryptocurrency market. The market cap and 24h volume of BTC at press time is $339,866,736,000 USD and $44,375,425,062 USD respectively.

The BTC price rises almost 58.3% in the last 30 days and 113.9% in 1 year. As per CoinMarketCap the ATH of Bitcoin is $20,089.00 USD which is just 9-10% away from the current BTC price. Bitcoin achieved its ATH on Dec 17, 2017, and after that, the price falls and goes even at $3k – 4k USD.

Now the question is whether Bitcoin will make new ATH in 2020? As per the current demand and from by analyzing the recent trend it seems possible. Yesterday Bitcoin was trending on Twitter which is a great sign of bull run.

Within the past few months, a lot of happenings in the crypto market led to the rise in BTC price. Recently PayPal enables buy, sell and hold of cryptocurrency for its U.S. customers. Soon it will be started in more countries (as per the official post of PayPal).

Currently, only 4 cryptocurrencies are available on PayPal and they are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. It also increased the weekly purchase limit to $20,000.

Also a U.S. senate Cynthia Lummis, seems Bitcoin fan, she bought her first BTC in 2013. She said, “I was struck by how innovative bitcoin is with its decentralized public ledger and a fixed supply.”

Recently in the Fox News interview, she said, “I know there isn’t much known about bitcoin, especially in the Congress,” she wants to ensure everyone understands the cryptocurrency’s importance as a great store of value.
