Bittrex joins the list of Crypto Exchanges that are removing Ripple’s XRP trading

After Coinbase announcement of removing XRP trading yesterday, Bittrex today announces the removal of XRP trading. Bittrex will remove XRP markets from its platform from Friday, January 15th, 2021 at 4 PM (PST).

As per the official announcement the market pairs that will be removed are BTC-XRP, ETH-XRP, USDT-XRP and USD-XRP.

Coinbase, OKCoin, Bitstamp, CrossTower, Beaxy, OSL all cited SEC lawsuit against the Ripple Lab Inc. as the reason for the delisting. However, Bittrex doesn’t clarify the reason for the XRP market removal.

According to the Bittrex market and token removal policy, “Evolving regulatory standards and other compliance issues,” is one of the factors responsible for token delisting.

Now almost all the U.S. crypto exchanges have announced the removal of XRP trading pairs except Binance.US and Kraken.
