Coinbase to Support Flare Network’s Airdrop for XRP Holders

Finally, Coinbase also announces today that it will support the Spark token airdrop to XRP holders. A total of 100 billion Spark tokens to airdrop for XRP holders.

Coinbase tweets about the airdrop support on Twitter, “Coinbase will support Flare Networks’ Spark airdrop. Customers in approved jurisdictions who hold XRP in their accounts on the snapshot date of Dec. 12 will qualify to receive Spark tokens. We plan to distribute the airdrop after the Flare network launch.”

The snapshot will be taken at December 12, 2020, 00:00 AM UTC for the eligible customers holding XRP on Coinbase and Coinbase Pro will get Spark token.

The customer will get spark token after the launch of Flare network on a later date. The amount of Spark that the customer will get in Airdrop depends on the amount of XRP in your account at the time of the snapshot.

As per the Coinbase blog, “Sends and receives will be disabled before the snapshot time and resume shortly after the snapshot is complete.”

Basically, Flare Network is a system designed to provide Ethereum-like functionality to the XRP Ledger. Spark is the native token of Flare Network.

At the press time XRP is trading at $0.613246 USD and the price is up by 4.37% from the last 24h. Ripple’s XRP is currently the third-largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

The market cap and 24h trading volume of XRP are $27,801,083,886 USD and $9,219,635,495 USD respectively.
