WazirX lists wrapped WRX token on Uniswap, a step towards DEX

WazirX, India’s leading cryptocurrency exchange today lists the wrapped token of WRX on Uniswap. WRX is the native token of the WazirX cryptocurrency exchange.

BWRX is the wrapped token of WazirX which is on Ethereum blockchain issued through Binance Token Canal. Last month Nischal Shetty, the founder and CEO of WazirX announced that it’s planning to launch DEX.

So, the listing of the BWRX token on Uniswap seems to be the next step towards launching WazirX DEX. According to him the decentralized exchange is undergoing tests and will be launched soon.

According to him, “DEX (decentralised exchange) does not own the data, even the authorities can’t really go to the developer of the exchange and say I want the data.” He also added that the data is available on the blockchain for everyone to see.

At press time, according to Uniswap data, the total tokens locked is 17.20 ETH and TVL is $56.13k.
